ESTEC SHARES ITS SOLUTONS AT THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AUTOMATION

ESTEC SHARES SMART MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS USING SENSORS AND MACHINE LEARNING AT THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – AUTOMATION FORUM 2025

Contributing to Driving Industrial Production Development in Ho Chi Minh City

On October 17, 2025, the Mechanical Engineering – Automation Forum 2025 took place in Vung Tau City. The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association (HAuA) in collaboration with the Center for Enterprise Support and Development (CSED), the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ho Chi Minh City Mechanical Association (HAME).

The forum was held under the theme: “Mechanical Engineering – Automation: The Driving Force for Industrial Production Development in the New Ho Chi Minh City after the Merger.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Hoài Quốc – Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association – delivered the opening speech.

The event gathered a large number of experts, enterprises, and manufacturing units in the fields of mechanical engineering and automation, aiming to foster discussion, connection, and orientation for the new phase of industrial development in Ho Chi Minh City following the merger.

As part of the forum, Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang – General Director of ESTEC – delivered an in-depth presentation on the topic: “Smart Maintenance Solutions Utilizing Sensors and Machine Learning.”

This presentation drew significant interest from the business community and manufacturing enterprises, as it aligned with the shared goal of promoting sustainable industrial development.

Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang – General Director of ESTEC – presented a paper on “Smart Maintenance Solutions Utilizing Sensors and Machine Learning.”

For many years, maintenance has often been regarded as the “backstage” of production – only prioritized when a breakdown occurs. However, with the advancement of industrial sensors and machine learning technologies, predicting equipment conditions, planning optimal maintenance, and minimizing downtime have gradually become an inevitable trend.

The solution introduced by ESTEC at the forum enables factories to:

  • Monitor equipment condition in real time through smart sensors;
  • Analyze and predict early failures using machine learning algorithms;
  • Optimize operating costs and extend equipment lifespan, thereby reducing resource and energy waste.

Towards Sustainable Industrial Development

Through this presentation, ESTEC aims to encourage manufacturers to rethink maintenance with a new approach: it should not merely be reactive troubleshooting, but an integral part of a company’s sustainable development strategy.
In addition, applying digital technology in maintenance enhances operational efficiency and indirectly reduces emissions by optimizing the use of resources such as energy, materials, and labor.

Accompanying Vietnam’s Industrial Growth

Participating in the forum was a valuable opportunity for ESTEC to listen, share, and collaborate with partners and industry experts to explore practical solutions tailored to the characteristics of Vietnamese enterprises.
We believe that sustainable development does not come from grand slogans, but from small, continuous improvements—beginning with daily production activities.

On October 17, within the framework of the Mechanical Engineering – Automation Forum 2025, themed “The Driving Force for Industrial Production Development in the New Ho Chi Minh City after the Merger,” ESTEC delivered a compelling presentation that captured the attention of numerous experts and industry leaders.

Representing ESTEC, Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang – General Director – delivered an in-depth talk on “Smart Maintenance Solutions Utilizing Sensors and Machine Learning.” The topic resonated strongly with the business and manufacturing community, all sharing a common vision of fostering sustainable industrial growth in the Ho Chi Minh City area.

The presentation emphasized that, to create a sustainable development momentum, manufacturing enterprises must transform their mindset toward industrial maintenance. This was not merely a discussion on new technology, but a strategic direction to help production managers:

  • Gain continuous insights into equipment “health” through sensor data;
  • Accurately predict failure timing using machine learning technology;
  • Transition from “repair after failure” to “intervene before failure”;
  • Fully optimize maintenance planning, manpower, and spare parts management.

ESTEC firmly believes that the application of Smart Maintenance will be a key enabler helping businesses enhance competitiveness and contribute to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City’s industrial sector.

ESTEC sincerely thanks the organizers for hosting such a meaningful forum and appreciates the attention and support from distinguished delegates and partners.
