DCS SYSTEM FOR BUT SON CEMENT PLANT

Investor: VICEM BUT SON CEMENT.

Location: Kim Bang, Ha Nam.

Year: 2016.

Scope: Upgraded control system software CEMAT V7; Upgraded weight scale and flow meter systems.

INTRODUCTION

Two production lines:
- Line 1: SIEMENS CEMAT V3.1, COROS-LSB, PLC S5.
- Line 2: SIEMENS PCS7 V7.0, CEMAT V7.0, PLC S7.
- ESTEC upgraded DCS system for line 1 from Cemat V3 to PCS7 V8.1 and CEMAT V8.1.

CUSTOMER BENIFITS

- Project was managed very well thanks to good cooperation between Vicem Butson, Siemens and ESTEC.
- Upgrading successfully with minimum shutdown time.
- The scope of works had been done and delivered on time.
- 1/3 of the commissioning time has been saved (~2 weeks) thanks to good simulation test and good preparation and planning for commissioning.
- New PCS7 and CEMAT V8.1 is very helpful for plant operation and management.
